December pays about 1.7x January. Seasonality reshapes the year, it does not add money to it.
A real Studio RPM already includes your geography and ad load, so niche and audience stop applying.
At 50K views a day in Technology, you would earn about $11,719/mo, or $140,633 over a year. That is top creator territory.

Move the number
Your rate is mostly locked in by niche and audience. These are the levers that are actually yours, applied to your settings.
Grow your top-paying-region audience
Going from 50% to 90% viewers in top-paying regions takes your rate from 1.00x to 1.16x, the slider's ceiling, priced at US ad rates. Same views, $1,875 more a month.
Advertisers pay far more in Finance & Business
Its mid RPM is $12,100 per million views against $7,700 in Technology. Not a reason to switch niche, but a reason to make the videos in your niche that advertisers bid on.
Take videos past 20 minutes for more mid-rolls
Longer videos carry more ad breaks, worth about 1.3x against a standard upload. Under 8 minutes you lose mid-rolls entirely and drop to 0.7x.
Your rate is nearly fixed. Views are the number you move
At 5% growth a month, this channel ends the year earning $20,044 a month instead of $11,719.

RPM is CPM times YouTube's 55% creator share, then adjusted for your audience mix and video length. Earnings assume every view is monetized.
CPM by countryWhat advertisers pay in 41 markets
Where your viewers live moves your RPM more than anything else you control. The same 1,000 views pay wildly different amounts by country, because advertisers bid far more to reach high-income markets. Below are blended cross-niche averages for 41 markets, grouped into four tiers by advertiser spend, so treat them as directional rather than precise. To check an exact rate for your niche and country, use the YouTube CPM Calculator. To work the other way and start from an income target, the Views Goal Calculator tells you how many views that needs. For why the gaps exist, and how to shift your audience toward higher-CPM regions, see YouTube CPM rates by country.

CPM is the advertiser-side gross rate per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is creator take-home per 1,000 video views, after YouTube's 45% cut and non-monetized views. Finance, business, and tech content runs roughly 2 to 5x these blended figures, while music and kids' content runs below them. Full country breakdown.
What channels actually earnReal numbers by channel size, and three worked examples
Long-form ad revenue across the full niche and audience spread. Beauty & Fashion with a global audience sits near the bottom, at about $1.65 RPM. Finance & Business with a US audience sits near the top, past $24.
| Monthly views | Typical ad revenue | Channel size |
|---|---|---|
| 100K/mo | $165 – $2,475 | Small, side income |
| 1M/mo | $1,650 – $24,750 | Growing, part-time |
| 10M/mo | $16,500 – $247,500 | Established, full-time |
| 100M/mo | $165,000 – $2.48M+ | Top creator tier |
You hit the high end when three things stack: a high-CPM niche, an audience priced at US ad rates, and videos over 8 minutes that run mid-rolls. Most channels land in the middle.
Maya, finance explainers
$5,500/mo
400K views a month, mostly US, on 10 minute videos that run mid-rolls. High CPM, high-value audience, full ad load.
Leo, gaming highlights
$2,300/mo
3M views a month, seven and a half times Maya, but an audience almost entirely outside the US, UK, Canada and Australia, and gaming sits low on CPM. Still well under half her income.
Priya, cooking
$2,200/mo
800K views a month from a mixed US and global audience on 8 minute videos. Mid-pack CPM, mid-pack geography.
The pattern holds at every size: niche and audience country move earnings more than raw view count. A smaller finance channel out-earns a much larger gaming one. Each figure uses this calculator's mid-range RPM for the niche, audience, and video length described.
How this is calculated
We take a CPM range for your niche, apply YouTube's 55% creator share to get RPM, then adjust for video length and audience geography. The projection runs 12 months forward with your growth rate and, optionally, the seasonal curve that puts December about 1.7x above January.
Ad revenue is only one line of income. Most channels at this size earn more from brand sponsorships than from ads, and the gap widens as the audience gets more specific. Tips, memberships, merchandise, and affiliate links sit on top of both.
Every figure here is a range, not a promise. Two channels with identical view counts routinely earn 3x apart on ad revenue alone, mostly because of where their viewers live and how many ads their videos can carry. Ad-blocker usage and the share of views that serve an ad at all move it further. Read the full methodology.
