Four programs, two very different tiers. Creator Rewards and Series both gate at 10,000 followers. Shop Affiliate and LIVE Gifts open around 1,000. That gap is the single most useful thing to know about monetizing on TikTok, because it means most creators are eligible to earn long before the program they have heard of becomes available.
Creator Rewards. A share of a performance pool, paid on qualified views of videos longer than one minute. TikTok publishes no rate, so treat every per-view figure as an estimate. Needs 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, a Personal account in good standing, and residency in a country where the program runs.
Series. Sell a collection of up to 80 videos as a one-off purchase, at a price you pick from the options TikTok offers. Same follower bar as Creator Rewards, no view requirement, and payouts start at $50.
Shop Affiliate and LIVE Gifts. Shop Affiliate pays commission on products you promote, set by the seller and paid on delivered orders. LIVE Gifts converts viewer Coins into Diamonds you withdraw, and depends on holding a live audience rather than on video reach. Both are realistic well below 10,000 followers.
Where to find your numbers. Followers are on your profile. Views over the last 30 days are in Creator Tools, under Analytics, Overview, with the range set to 30 days. Note that this is your total view count, not qualified views.
Beyond platform programs. Brand deals out-earn all four of these for most creators, and they have no thresholds at all. The TikTok Sponsorship Rate Calculator prices videos, Stories, and Lives.
